How to Get Visa for India
Indian visas can be applied by post at the India Visa Head Office. Specific Indian visas are granted for a variety of purposes that are aforementioned. (Please refer below 'Visas for India')

Visas for India

Indian Business Visa

Indian Business visas are normally granted for 6 or 12 months. However, multiple-entry business visas for up to two years validity may be granted.

Indian Tourist Visa

Tourists wishing to visit India are normally granted a short-term Indian tourist visa, normally granted for three or six months effective from the date of issue.

Indian Employment Visa

Indian Employment visa is required if you are taking an Employment assignment, you are granted Employment visa, effective from the date of issue.

Indian Conference Visa

Indian Conference visa is required to attend a conference / seminar in India you are normally granted short-term Conference visas, effective from the date of issue.

Long Term 5 Year Indian Entry Visa

Long term 5 year Indian entry visa is issued to a person of Indian origin.

Transfer of Long Term 5 Year Indian Entry Visa

Transfer of a valid 5 year Indian visa issued in London from expired passport to new British passport.

Indian Entry Visa

An Indian Entry Visa is specified for a precise purpose (short term courses, volunteer work, and unpaid internships) or other non-business associated purposes.

Indian Student Visa

Indian Student visas are issued to credible students to follow regular studies at acknowledged institutions in India. The visa is multiple entry.

Indian Journalist Visa

Professional journalists and photographers visa valid up to three months. If you are intending to make a documentary in India, contact the Press and Information department in the Embassy.

Indian Medical Visa

A Medical India visa is issued to individuals who are travelling to India for a medical treatment. The visa can be single/multiple entry.

Indian Medical Escort Visa

A Medical Escort India visa is issued to individuals who are accompanying a patient travelling to India for a medical treatment on a medical visa.

Indian Research Visa

Indian research Visas are issued to Research Professors/Scholars, who need to perform research work in India.

Indian Emergency Visa

Indian Visas are issued by the High Commission Of India in case of emergencies such as death or medical issues.

  • Visa Type: T = Tourist, B = Business, X = Entry etc
