Goa,

Panaji

The capital of Goa is Panaji. It is a rather
small town, overlooked by the Altinho hill
to the south. Formerly called Panjim by
the Portuguese, it is one of the three principal
Portuguese cities other than Velha Goa (Old
Goa) and Margao. A suburb of Velha Goa,
Panaji became the capital of Goa in 1843.
Vasco-da-Gama
Vasco-da-Gama was initially known as Sambhaji.
This is the most well laid and planned out
coastal town known as Vasco.
Margao
The second largest city of Goa that is located
in South Goa and retains the Goa's Portuguese
colonial past. The tourists traveling to
Margao can see the commercial importance
attached to the city. Margao is famous for
its cultural heritage and traditional customs
of the yesteryears.
Beaches in Goa
The
pristine white beaches in Goa are evenly
spread in North and South Goa. The 100 kms
long coastline has numerous beaches that
are visited by the tourists in Goa. The
most popular beaches in Goa are Anjuna,
Baga, Benaulim, Colva, Cavelossim, Dona
Paula, Miramar, Parambol, Vagator etc. Apart
